FENSTER needs the ARP library and without COLOR library or
XColor library you cannot use the color requester function.
Version : 2.1 stupid bug removed which didn't allow to close a
window.
Version : 2.2 code optimized (3K), added XColor library support,
MENUPICK replaced by MOUSEBUTTON
Did it ever happened to you
- that you forgot to close a screen / a window or
- that you wanted to save a screen /a window as IFF picture or
- that you wanted to print a screen or
- that you wanted to change the limits of a window or
- that you wanted to change the IDCMP flags of a window or
- that you wanted to refresh the gadgets or
- that you wanted to move the window to the background or ......
Instructions:
-------------
Activate the FENSTER-Window on the WorkBench and press the right mouse
button - FENSTER will open its own screen (if possible). Now your task
is to select the screen on which the window you have trouble with is.
Then you get a list of all windows on the screen - press UPDATE LIST to
update all lists. the selected window will get a black background. At the
bottom you can see some data of the window which you can easily change.
X,Y : left top of window
Width,Height : Wight & Height of window
BPen : BlockPen of window
min.X,min.Y : min. and max. size of window if window has a SIZING gadget
max.X,max.Y :

About : ......
Gadgets on the left side :
---------------------------
Show Screen : display list of screens
Update List : update list
Close Screen : close screen and all its windows
Screen To Front : push screen to thre feont and close Fenster's
screen
Screen To Back : move the screen to the back

Add Bitplane : add a bitplane to the screen
Sub Bitplane : clear ?
Move To Left Edge : Move screen to the left edge of the display
Colour Requester : Open a colour requester, the color.library is
needed. Press SAVE to exit.
Print
-----
First decide if the page size of your piece of paper or the screen/
window size is used. If you want to set the colours 0/1 to white and
black select the "Change Colours" gadget before. This means the
background will not be printed.
Save
----
window : a window is always saved as IFF picture. You man encounter
problems if the window cannot be pushed to the front, for
examples BACKDROP windows. Try to move the other windows
somewhere else or in front of somthing unimportant.
Screen : You many save the screen as IFF picture, as Dump (only
bitmap) or as Colours & Dump (colour table and bitmap).
Keyboard :
----------
If there are more than 17 windows, use "u"p and "d"own to move the
list. Press "s" to move the screen to front, press "f" to move the
FENSTER screen to front - Sometimes I wanted to see the screen and the
window so I included this two functions.
Press the right mouse button to close the Fenster screen, the Fenster
window won't be closed. So by pressing the right mouse button you can
return to the Fenster screen.
IMPORTANT :
-----------
FENSTER doesn't check if the datas are correct any more - So don't try
to close a window a second time or to close a still used screen because
the system will crash !!!!
All suggestions & bug reports are welcome !
